The GSM-AUTO is a wireless gsm mobile phone remote control switch that connects to the GSM mobile phone network.

It is activated by calling its mobile telephone number, it will reject the call without answering and switch on or off the device connected to it

It has 2 independent relay switches these can be programmed to switch on for a pre-determined length of time whenever the GSM-AUTO is called, alternatively the switches can be permanently switched on or off by sending the GSM-AUTO a sms text message

Applications include the remote control of heating, lighting, engine pre-heaters, aviation engine heaters, irrigation systems, water well pumps, pumping stations, cabin heaters, resetting of remote servers, arming and disarming security systems

GSM Remote Control Switch Features

• Quad band GSM-850, GSM-900, GSM-1800, GSM-1900 MHz

• Relay contacts: 2 x normally open (N.O) and normally closed (N.C), maximum switching capacity 10 amps

• Power supply required: 12 or 24V dc @ 500 mA

• Two independent relays that can be programmed to switch on for a period of time between 1 second and 18 hours, programming is achieved by sending the unit text messages

• The programmed operation can be temporarily overridden and the relays switched on for up to 18 hours by sending the unit a text message command, a confirmation text will be returned when the relay(s) is switched on and another when it is switched off

• The relays can be permanently switched on or off by sending the GSM-AUTO a text message command, again a confirmation text will be returned

• A 24 hour timer allows the relays to be switched on and off for a set time, for example relay 1 switches on at 0600 (6am) and off at 1900 (7pm). Once this function is activated the caller ID and override functions are disabled

• Two access modes are available
  
  Open access, in this mode the GSM-AUTO will respond to any incoming call.
  
  Controlled access, up to 99 authorised user telephone numbers can be added to the white list, when this function is activated only the numbers in the white list are able to activate the GSM-AUTO, users can be added and deleted as required using text messages

No the GSM-AUTO uses the GSM mobile phone network in the same way as a mobile phone

Will it work anywhere?

It will work anywhere in the world where there is a GSM network and it can receive a signal

Can it be activated from another country?

It can be activated from anywhere in the world as long as you have access to a telephone

Can anyone activate the GSM-AUTO by calling it?

Yes and no, the GSM-AUTO can work in open access mode whereby it will respond to any call made to it, or secure access mode when it will only respond to authorised numbers

Do I have to use the T-Mobile SIM card that is supplied with the GSM-AUTO?

What are the call costs?

The GSM-AUTO uses the mobile phone network and the same as a mobile phone it has a SIM card, when you call the GSM-AUTO it rejects the call without answering and switches on the device connected to it so there are no call costs incurred. When the GSM-AUTO is initially programmed it sends a confimation sms text message and this will be charged at your network operators rate.

Do I have to use a mobile phone to activate the GSM-AUTO?

No it can be activated using a landline
